Vinted Taxes 2026: what you actually pay (volume reseller)

You already do buy-to-resell on Vinted and you're registered as auto-entrepreneur. Here's what you actually pay in 2026, how much you keep at month's end, and where accounting becomes a nightmare when volume ramps up.

Índice · 7 secciones
This guide is for resellers already registered as auto-entrepreneur doing volume (30+ sales/month, revenue under €85,000/year). If you're not registered yet or you're above the VAT franchise threshold, we cover these cases in dedicated articles.

Your situation in 60 seconds

You're auto-entrepreneur, you do 30+ sales per month on Vinted. Here's where you stand in 2026:

  • Vinted transmits your data to tax authorities every year since DAC7. You're on their radar.
  • You pay 12.3% social contributions on your revenue (+ 0.1% CFP + 1% liberatory IR if activated).
  • An invoice is due for every sale: a Vinted sale is a distance sale, and an invoice is mandatory for it, even for a private buyer. Every sale also goes in your sales ledger, and every invoice is kept 10 years.
  • At 30+ sales/month, doing all this by hand becomes unmanageable and risky in case of audit.
The URSSAF declaration part you can handle yourself. The invoices and sales tracking part, at your volume, is where it gets stuck. Bleam makes the invoice for every Vinted sale, keeps your sales ledger and shows the amount to declare each month.

DAC7: why tax authorities watch you closely in 2026

Since 2023, Vinted has been required to transmit each year to the French tax office (DGFiP) the list of its sellers and their revenue. This is the EU DAC7 directive — designed specifically so no one slips under the radar anymore.

Concretely, before January 31 of each year, Vinted sends tax authorities the data of all accounts that reached 30 sales OR €2,000 in revenue over the previous year. At 30+ sales per month, you're well above both thresholds. Your numbers are therefore known.

You can actually check the exact data transmitted by Vinted in your account (Settings, then DAC7). It's what tax authorities see: amounts, transaction counts, bank details. Better make sure your URSSAF declarations match.

What this means for you in 2026:
URSSAF and tax audits are increasingly automated. The administration cross-checks your DAC7 data with your declarations. A persistent gap = quasi-automatic audit, with possibility of retroactive reassessment over 3 years (up to 10 in case of fraud).

URSSAF: what's deducted every month

As auto-entrepreneur buy-to-resell (APE code 4779Z), your setup is simple: you declare your revenue every month (or quarter) on autoentrepreneur.urssaf.fr, and you pay a fixed percentage. No complex accounting on URSSAF side — but watch out for the mechanics.

Invoicing: where it becomes hell at volume

The URSSAF part, you handle in 15 minutes a month. The real headache starts with invoices. Vinted provides none. Yet a Vinted sale is a distance sale, and for a distance sale an invoice is mandatory, even when the buyer is a private individual (service-public, page checked on August 7, 2026); it is for a business buyer too. At your volume, that's one invoice per sale, and every sale also goes in your sales ledger.

And a proper invoice isn't just a PDF with your name on it. There are the expected notices, continuous numbering without a single gap, 10-year archiving. At 30+ sales per month, it quickly becomes unmanageable by hand, and a missing notice means a fine. And since September 1, 2026, every French business, sole traders included, must be linked to a certified platform to receive electronic invoices; on September 1, 2027, micro-enterprises move on to issuing e-invoices and e-reporting their sales. Bleam links you at no extra cost from Bleam (bleam.app/en/help/facturation-electronique).

For your sales invoices, Bleam does it for you: the Invoicing page presents the module, and the help article Generate invoices for your sales walks you through it. The URSSAF summary prepares the amount to declare each month. To make an invoice yourself: the free Vinted invoice template, in Word and PDF.

Why it's a nightmare when you're at volume

  • The expected notices on every invoice: your name followed by "EI", your SIRET and address, the date, a unique number, the buyer's name, a precise item description, the price excl. VAT, your VAT notice.
  • Absolute continuous numbering: a gap in the sequence (F2026-001, F2026-003, etc.) is an irregularity flagged in an audit, which you will have to explain.
  • Mandatory 10-year archiving (Art. L123-22 Commercial Code) — not 10 months, not 2 years. 10 years.
  • Accounting export for your declaration or accountant, in standardized FEC format.
  • Monthly reconciliation between your Vinted sales, transfers received (which don't always match the listed price) and your URSSAF declaration.
What you risk if this goes wrong
A €15 fine per missing or wrong notice (capped at 1/4 of invoice amount, Art. 1737 of the French tax code). On hundreds of invoices per year, the bill adds up fast. Between businesses, not invoicing exposes you to an administrative fine of up to €75,000 for a sole trader (French Commercial Code, Art. L441-9). And in case of audit, administration goes back 3 years minimum, sometimes 10.
Bleam invoicing

Bleam makes the invoice for every Vinted sale

Your Vinted sales land in your Bleam register on their own. You tick them, and the invoice comes out with your name followed by "EI", your SIRET, your VAT notice and a continuous number. Nothing to retype, even at 50 sales a month.

  • Continuous numbering with no gaps, and the original of every invoice kept
  • A credit note in one click when an invoiced sale is cancelled or refunded
  • The sales ledger filled in as you sell
  • The URSSAF summary: the amount to declare each month, all your Vinted accounts added up
  • Connection to French e-invoicing, at no extra cost

5 mistakes that cost you big

Mistake 1: Not declaring €0 months

Even a month without sales, you must declare €0 to URSSAF. Each miss = €60.10 penalty (2026), plus a 5% surcharge on contributions (15% for quarterly declarations). Set an alert on the 25th of each month, or use a tool that outputs the recap automatically.

Mistake 2: Declaring the wrong amount

Your revenue to declare is what Vinted pays you for each sale: the item price. Shipping and buyer protection, paid by the buyer, aren't part of it. And since October 2026, Vinted no longer adds the shipping VAT to the wallet of Vinted Pro accounts: only the item price lands there. Under-declaring = gap with DAC7 = guaranteed audit.

Mistake 3: Invoice numbering with gaps

Your invoices must follow a continuous sequence without a single gap. If an invoiced sale is cancelled, the invoice is never deleted: you issue a credit note, numbered in its own sequence, which quotes the invoice number. Never a jump in the sequence. The only reliable way to avoid this at your volume: a tool that handles numbering automatically.

Mistake 4: Mixing personal and pro accounts

As soon as your revenue exceeds €10,000/year for 2 consecutive years, you must have a bank account dedicated to your activity. Not necessarily an expensive "pro" account — a second checking account works. Mixing = accounting nightmare and fiscal risk.

Mistake 5: Not anticipating the €85,000 cap

If your annual revenue nears €85,000, you become liable for VAT the following year — and if you exceed €93,500 during the year, VAT is due immediately, from the sale that takes you over. That's a big regime change that needs anticipation (margin regime possible, training, possibly accountant). Not preparing = significant losses the first year as VAT-liable.

Preguntas frecuentes

How do I generate my Vinted invoices automatically?

Vinted provides no invoices: it's up to you to make one, and one is due for every sale, because a Vinted sale is a distance sale (an invoice is mandatory for it, even for a private buyer). With Bleam, every Vinted sale lands in your register: you tick it, and the invoice comes out with your SIRET, the EI notice, your VAT status and a continuous number, while the URSSAF summary shows the amount to declare. To make it yourself, our Vinted invoice template is free, in Word and PDF.

Do I declare the listed price or what Vinted transfers me?

What Vinted pays you: the sale price of each item. Shipping and buyer protection, paid by the buyer, aren't paid out to you and aren't part of your revenue. Since October 2026, even with a Vinted Pro account, Vinted no longer adds the shipping VAT to your wallet. Under-declaring creates a gap with the DAC7 data transmitted by Vinted to tax authorities — a gap that triggers an automatic audit.

How much URSSAF do I pay in total?

As buy-to-resell auto-entrepreneur: 12.3% social contributions + 0.1% CFP = 12.4% of your revenue. If you've activated the liberatory payment, add 1% to settle your income tax, totaling 13.4%. You also need to factor in the CFE, payable in December: its amount depends on your municipality and revenue (exempt in the year of creation and if your revenue stays at or under €5,000).

How often should I declare to URSSAF?

Monthly or quarterly, based on what you chose at creation. For a volume reseller, monthly is generally recommended: it smooths payments and avoids a big quarterly hit. You can't switch mid-year: the frequency applies for the calendar year, and a change must be requested before October 31 for the following year.

How long must I keep my invoices?

10 years from the issue date (Art. L123-22 Commercial Code). This applies to sales invoices, but also to your stock purchase invoices (useful if you ever switch to the VAT margin regime). In case of audit, administration can go back up to 10 years.

What happens if I exceed €85,000 annual revenue?

You become liable for VAT on January 1 of the following year (or immediately if you exceed €93,500 during the year) and must collect it on your sales (20%). That's a big regime change. For reselling used goods bought from private individuals, the margin regime applies by default: VAT only applies to your commercial margin. We cover this in detail in our article "Vinted VAT 2026: franchise base and margin regime".
