Update the Bleam extension

2 steps~2 min read

Browsers normally update extensions automatically, but it can take a few hours. If a new Bleam version just shipped and you want it right now, you can force the update in 2 clicks.

1

Open the extensions page

The address bar is the field at the very top of your browser — the one showing the address of the site you are on (for example vinted.fr). Click inside it: the text gets selected. Then type brave://extensions if you are on Brave, or chrome://extensions on Chrome (edge://extensions on Microsoft Edge), and press Enter.

Do not type this address into Google: it only works in the address bar.

2

Enable developer mode, then click "Update"

Turn on the "Developer mode" toggle. On Chrome and Brave it sits at the top right of the page; on Edge it is in the left-hand column, at the very bottom of the side panel. This is what makes the "Update" button appear: without it the button simply does not exist, so there is no point looking for it.

Then click "Update". All your extensions, Bleam included, update within seconds — the version number on the Bleam card changes. You can turn developer mode back off once you are done.

On iPhone and iPad (Orion browser) this page does not exist and extensions never update on their own: you have to remove Bleam and reinstall it from Orion. Write down your linked Vinted accounts first — a reinstall starts from an empty space.
