Automatic price drop

Lower the price of a Vinted listing that doesn't sell, automatically

To lower the price of a Vinted listing that doesn't sell automatically, use Bleam's Lifecycle: you pick a Strategy, for instance 5% off after 7 days without a sale, and a floor price, then Bleam lowers the price step by step, reposts the listing and stops at the floor. Vinted notifies the members who favourited the item at each drop, so every step nudges your most interested buyers. Lifecycle is part of Bleam, with a 14-day free trial.

A gentle Strategy: 5% off every week, never below the €32 floor.

In 5 steps

How does it work?

  1. Create a Strategy

Turn Lifecycle on in your Settings, then create a Strategy from a template: Anti-stagnation (10% off after 7 days without a sale, then a repost 3 days later), Clearance (10% off every 3 days), Smart (Bleam decides for each item based on what sells in the same type of item and price range) or a blank Strategy.

  2. Set the steps and the floor

The editor reads like a sentence: "After 7 days without a sale, lower the price by 5%". A drop goes from 1 to 50% of the original price, or is set in euros. The floor, from 30 to 90% of the original price, is the price the item never goes below.

  3. Put it on your listings

On all the online listings of an account, on a selection from the Dressing, or on each new listing as soon as it's published. One Strategy works for all your Vinted accounts.

  4. Pick the pace, days and hours

For each account, you set the most drops and reposts Bleam makes per day, and the days and time range when it acts.

  5. Bleam lowers, reposts and logs everything

Every drop, rise and repost has its line in the activity log, with its reason: "7 days without a sale", "floor reached". A sold listing stops there, and a summary can reach you by email in the morning when Lifecycle has acted.

Example

An example: a €40 sweater

The Strategy: after 7 days without a sale, lower the price by 5% of the original price (€2), repost 3 days later, start over down to the 80% floor (€32), then repost regularly.

The item goes from €40 to €38, €36, €34 and then €32 within a month, and it's reposted after each drop. It has lost only €8, and it will never go lower: once at the floor, it's only reposted. Days can shift a little depending on the pace set for the account.

A gentle drop protects your margin: pick a floor above what the item cost you. And if the item draws favourites, the favourites rule does the opposite: it raises its price by 10%, up to +30% at most.

FAQ

Your questions about price drops

How do I lower the price of a Vinted listing automatically?

With Bleam's Lifecycle. You pick a Strategy (for instance 5% off after 7 days without a sale) and a floor, put it on your listings, and Bleam lowers the price step by step and reposts, logging every action in the activity log.

Can the price go too low?

No. The floor, from 30 to 90% of the original price, is the price the item never goes below. For a €40 item with an 80% floor, Bleam never goes under €32.

How much should I lower a price on Vinted?

Our advice: a gentle drop, 5% of the original price after 7 days without a sale, then every week down to the floor. At €40, the item goes to €38, €36, €34 and then €32 within a month, and each drop notifies the members who favourited it.

Does Lifecycle work with my computer off?

Yes, with Bleam Cloud, the €20-a-month add-on. Without Cloud, its actions go out when your browser is open on Vinted with the extension; in the meantime, the action waits and nothing is lost.

What if I change the price myself?

The listing then leaves its Strategy, and the activity log records it with the reason "price changed by hand". You can put it back under a Strategy from the Dressing whenever you like.
