Create reusable listing templates on Vinted
If you regularly sell similar items on Vinted (Zara sweaters, Stan Smith in different sizes, summer dresses), you retype the same content in every listing. With Bleam templates, you write your listing once, then reuse it in one click for every similar item.
Dynamic variables go further: the template adapts to the new item. Change the size on Vinted? The size updates in the title and in the description.
Templates work in two places: in Vinted's listing form, through the extension, and in the bleam.app composer. They are linked to your Bleam account, so they are the same on both sides.
Create a template from a listing
The easiest way is to start from a listing you have already written.
In the extension, on Vinted: fill in the listing as usual (title, description, category, brand, size, condition, price), then scroll to the bottom of the page. The Bleam bar shows two buttons: "Manage templates" and "Save template". Click "Save template".
On bleam.app: fill in the composer, then click the save icon at the bottom of the form ("Save as template").
Choose what you save
A window opens. You set three things there:
- The data to save: only the fields you filled in are offered (title, description, price, category, brand, condition, size, colors, materials, package size, category attributes). Everything is ticked by default; untick what you do not want to freeze.
- The template name: that is how you will find it again. 120 characters at most.
- The folder, optional: leave "No folder" if you are not sorting yet.
If a template already has that name, Bleam offers to replace it or to create another one.
Reuse a template on a new listing
In the extension: upload your photos first, then click the "Title" field and type at least 2 characters of your template's name. A list appears, pick the right one. A Bleam search bar also sits under the "Sell an item" heading: it opens from the first letter, and clicking it while empty offers your most recently used templates.
On bleam.app: the "Apply a template" card sits at the top of the composer. There is no minimum number of characters, and your last twelve applied templates come first.
Only the fields saved in the template are filled in. Your photos are never touched.
Dynamic variables
Instead of a fixed title like "Red sweater size M Zara", write a dynamic one:
Sweater {color} size {size} {brand}
Every time you apply the template, Bleam replaces each variable with the value of the current listing. With "blue / L / H&M", the title becomes "Sweater blue size L H&M". Variables work in the title as well as in the description.
The 7 variables:
- {color}: the selected colors, lowercased, separated by a slash
- {size}: the size, cut down to its first part ("S / 36" gives "S")
- {brand}: the brand, as is
- {category}: the category, put in the singular ("Dresses" gives "Dress")
- {material}: the materials, separated by a slash
- {price}: the price you entered, without the euro sign
- {condition}: the Vinted condition (New with tags, Very good, etc.)
Accepted spellings: the French names {marque}, {taille}, {couleur}, {categorie}, {composition}, {prix} and {etat} work too. Capitals, accents, spaces inside the braces ({ brand }) and {matière}, a synonym of {composition}, are accepted, in the extension as well as on bleam.app. A made-up or misspelled word — {siez}, {model} — is recognized nowhere and stays written as is.
When variables fill in: in the extension, as soon as you apply a template. Written into a blank form, with the keyboard or with a chip from the panel, a variable may stay as it is: save the listing as a template, then apply it. On bleam.app, it also resolves when you type it straight into the composer: you see the value, and it is the variable that gets saved when you turn it into a template.
Mind the title: Vinted cuts it at 100 characters.
Insert a variable without a typo
In the extension, a panel shows under Vinted's Title field.
- "Insert a listing detail:" — seven chips. One click writes the variable at the cursor, spelled correctly.
- "What it will look like on this listing" — a preview of the final title, with the character count out of 100.
- A variable that does not exist is flagged, with a suggestion.
- If you used to write placeholders by hand ([Color], (Size), or COLOUR in capitals), a banner spots them and the "Fill in automatically" button turns them into real variables.
These chips are there to write the model: insert your variables, then save the listing as a template. They will fill in on every later application, and the model keeps the variable, not the value. On bleam.app, the save screen shows the exact text that will go into the template, variables included.
Good to know: this panel only exists in the extension, and only for the title. The description accepts variables, but with no typing aid.
In the extension, nothing flags a missing value in the description: read it again before publishing, a variable with no value goes out as it is, braces included. On bleam.app it is different: a variable still empty is removed from the text when you publish.
When a value is missing
This is the part to know: the variable is not ignored.
- In the extension: if no color is selected, {color} stays written as is, braces included, and goes out that way on Vinted — in the title as well as in the description. The panel under the Title field warns you: "Color: nothing selected on the listing."
- On bleam.app: the variable stays visible while you compose and fills in as soon as you set the field. If it is still empty when you publish, it is removed from the text: the listing goes out with a word missing, not with braces.
Either way, the reflex is the same: fill in the field before publishing, or take the variable out of the title.
Sort and file your templates
From "Manage templates", a control bar sits above the list (on bleam.app it appears from 10 templates, or as soon as a folder exists).
- Folders: the folder selector offers "All", "No folder", your folders with their counts, and "New folder". On a selected folder you also get "Rename" and "Delete folder (templates are kept)". Deleting a folder never deletes its contents: the templates go back to "No folder". 50 folders at most, 40 characters per name.
- Move: tick some templates, then "Move to" to file them, or "Remove from folder" to take them out. You can create the folder along the way.
- Sort: the "Sort A to Z" button toggles between alphabetical order and the order you added them. It is a display preference, remembered on this browser.
- Search: it ignores accents and case, and covers the name, the title, the description and the attributes.
A folder is a filter, not a classification: the list goes back to "All" every time you open it.
Edit a template
In "Manage templates", the Edit button on a card opens the editor. Four fields can be changed there: the name, the title, the price and the description. Emptying a field removes it from the template. Then click Save: nothing is saved automatically.
The other fields — category, brand, size, colors, materials, package size, category attributes — cannot be edited one by one. In the extension, to change them, save a new template from the listing you want. On bleam.app, "Reuse current form fields" replaces everything at once with the composer's content, title and description included, plus the current listing's size. Your variables are kept: the composer shows them filled in, but it is {color} or {size} that goes back into the template. Only text you rewrote by hand over it is saved as is, value included.
