Automatic messages and offers to Vinted favorites
When someone favorites your Vinted item, Bleam sends them your message within minutes, with a discount offer if you want, which they can accept in one click. Example: a €40 item, a 15% offer to favorites, and the buyer gets your message with an offer at €34.
The offer makes a difference from 10%: across 478,885 favorite messages studied by Bleam, a 10 to 15% offer brings 25.7 sales per 1,000 messages, against 16.9 with no offer, which is 52% more sales. You write the message once, and Bleam sends it to every new favorite, with your computer on or 24/7 with Bleam Cloud.
What the buyer gets
Someone favorites your item: Bleam sends them your message within minutes, as if you had written it yourself, with the offer if you added one. They can accept it in one click and buy at that price. Each buyer gets this message only once. It's often the little nudge that turns a favorite into a sale.
Write your message
In Bleam, open Favorite messages. If you manage several Vinted accounts, pick the right one at the top of the page.
Write the message sent for every new favorite. You can:
- Insert the buyer's first name with {username} (Pro and Business plans)
- Attach an offer (in % or €) the buyer accepts in one click: see the next step
- Or keep it simple, with no offer
Set the automatic offer
Each message has its own Automatic offer card. Turn it on, then choose:
- Offer in % or €: a percentage of the price (1 to 20%) or a fixed amount (€1 to €100)
- The value of the discount
Bleam works out the offer price from each item's price:
- €40 item, 15% offer: offer at €34
- €12 item, 10% offer: offer at €10.80
- €40 item, €5 fixed amount: offer at €35
As a percentage, the offer price is rounded (to 10 cents under €15, to 50 cents up to €25, to the euro above); as a fixed amount, it is exact. The offer always stays below the item price and never under half of it. Under €1, it isn't sent: Vinted would refuse it.
Which level to pick? At least 10%: below that, the offer sells as much as a message with no offer (16.9 sales per 1,000 messages either way, according to Bleam's study). Above that, go as far as your margin allows.
A different message for bundles
If a buyer favorites several items, they might want a bundle. You can write a dedicated message for this case (e.g. "I can do a discount if you take a few").
The bundle-message field sits right next to the single one, in the same Favorites tab. Bleam picks the right one automatically. This message has its own automatic offer, which applies to the item in the conversation.
Adapt the message to context (Pro/Business)
On Pro and Business plans, you can send a different message depending on:
- Time of day ("Good morning" / "Good evening")
- Day of week (one message on weekends, another on weekdays)
- Item price (premium message for expensive items, simple for low prices)
The time and day are those of the moment of sending (Paris time), not of the favorite: with a delay before sending, the difference matters.
A rule can combine several criteria, and you can create up to 10. Only one rule applies to a message: the most specific one (the one with the most criteria), then the highest in the list. Each rule has its own offer: for example 15% only from 6pm to 11pm. Conditional messages only concern the 1-item message, never bundles.
On the Business plan, you can also write multiple versions of the same message (5 at most): Bleam picks one at random for each send. Bleam shows which one converts best.
Turn it on and let it run
Once your message is written, go to Vinted and click the Bleam bubble to enable favorite messages (the toggle is also in Bleam).
From there, Bleam checks your new favorites every 4 to 6 minutes or so — the interval deliberately varies from one cycle to the next — and sends the message on its own within minutes of the favorite.
Prefer to wait before sending? A "Delay before sending" setting in the Favorites tab lets you add an extra delay (up to 7 days) before the message goes out.
For it to run, keep a Vinted tab open in your browser (computer on). To keep Bleam running with the computer off, there's Bleam Cloud.
When the buyer answers the offer
If they accept the offer, they buy at that price. If they propose another price, the AI assistant takes over if negotiation is on: it accepts from your minimum price, counter-offers below it, and never offers a higher price than the offer already sent.
Example with the starting negotiation settings: €40 item, favorites offer at €34, the buyer proposes €28. The assistant replies €33, then €32, your minimum price, if the buyer stays below.
When exactly does the message go out?
The message does not leave the second the favorite is added. It goes through three steps:
1. Detection: Bleam picks up your new favorites every 4 to 6 minutes or so, as long as your extension is running (Vinted tab open on the computer, or Bleam Cloud).
2. Your delay: if "Delay before sending" is on, the favorite waits for that delay before going out.
3. Sending: messages go out one after another, spaced out. Vinted also limits how many new conversations an account can open per hour: during a spike of favorites, Bleam stops at that limit and resumes the next hour. A message can then leave several hours after the favorite.
Computer off or module switched off: nothing is lost. On resume, Bleam catches up on the favorites received in the meantime, within the limit of Vinted's recent notifications. On the very first activation, it also takes your most recent favorites into account.
Why a message did not go out
Bleam sends nothing in these cases:
- You already have a conversation with this buyer, even about another item: Bleam does not write to them, so as not to barge into an ongoing exchange.
- The item is no longer for sale (sold, reserved, hidden or draft): the favorite is ignored.
- The delay before sending has not run out yet.
- Your extension is not running: computer off or asleep, Vinted session signed out, or toggle off. The message will go out on resume.
- Vinted blocked sending for a while (too many messages at once, a verification or captcha pending): Bleam pauses, then resumes. A captcha sometimes has to be solved by hand: see Solve Vinted captchas.
- The account is a purchase account: no selling automation runs on it.
- Your subscription is no longer active: the module switches off.
- Free access from a partner community: favorite messages are capped per month. Once the cap is reached, sending resumes at the start of the next month.
None of these? Write to support with the buyer's username and the time of the favorite.
Why the message went out without the offer
- Each message type has its own offer. The default message (1 item), the Bundles (multiple items) message and each conditional message each have their own offer toggle, format and value. Bleam attaches the offer of the message it sends. If a condition matches, its offer applies, even when switched off, even if the default message's offer is on.
- A bundle is one buyer with several favorites detected together. They get the Bundles message and its offer, which applies to the item of the conversation, not to all the items.
- The offer would fall below €1: Vinted refuses offers under €1. On a very low price, the message therefore goes out alone.
- Vinted refuses the offer (the transaction no longer accepts offers, or Vinted is temporarily blocking sends): the message stays sent, and the offer is not sent again.
How the offer price is worked out is explained above, in the Set the automatic offer step.
