Selling as a pro on Vinted in 2026: Vinted Pro, legal status and obligations
On Vinted, you are a pro seller as soon as you buy items to resell them, sell to earn a regular income, or have the legal status of a business. Vinted then asks you to switch to Vinted Pro, which is free and requires a French SIRET number. Selling your own belongings stays a sale between private individuals, generally not taxable. As a pro in France, you accept returns within 14 days, declare the revenue you received to URSSAF every month or every quarter, and issue an invoice when the buyer asks for one.

Private or pro: the short answer
Two sets of rules meet here: Vinted's, which decide your account type, and the tax office's, which decide whether your sales are taxable. For both, the first question is the same: did the item come out of your wardrobe, or did you buy it to resell it?
| Your situation | Vinted account | Tax (France) |
|---|---|---|
| You sell your own belongings, things you're getting rid of | Standard account | Generally not taxable |
| You buy items to resell them at a profit | Pro account required | Taxable, as industrial and commercial profits (BIC) |
| You have the legal status of a business, or sell for a business | Pro account required | Business revenue, to be declared |

When do you go from private seller to pro on Vinted?
Vinted says so in its help page on commercial selling: a standard account isn't meant for selling professionally. That includes reselling as a side income, and items bought or sourced specifically to make a profit. If you have the legal status of a business, act on behalf of one, or sell to earn a regular income, Vinted asks you to sign up as a Pro seller. Its guide adds that it may also ask you to open a Pro account if it has information pointing that way.
On the tax side, the French government's service-public site draws the same line. Income from selling things you're getting rid of is generally not taxable. If you buy goods to resell them, the income from that activity is taxable, as industrial and commercial profits (BIC).
An example. You clear out your wardrobe and sell 40 pieces of clothing for €900 over the year: that's a sale between private individuals. You go past 30 sales, so Vinted will report your figures to the tax office (DAC7, below), but these sales generally remain non-taxable. Another case: you buy 10 second-hand pairs of jeans at €4 each at a car boot sale and resell them at €15 each. That's €150 of sales for €40 of purchases, and it's buying to resell: a Pro account for Vinted, taxable income for the tax office.

What Vinted Pro gives you, according to Vinted
Vinted Pro is the account for sellers who sell in larger quantities. Here's what Vinted's official pages say about it:
- it's free: Vinted says Vinted Pro is completely free, like selling on Vinted in general;
- listings are unlimited: as many second-hand items as you want, as often as you want;
- Vinted mentions special features to attract more buyers and sell faster;
- the "Pro" tag shows next to your name and each item you sell;
- your personal account can stay open: the Pro account is a separate account, with a different email address and phone number.
According to its guide, Vinted Pro is open to professionals registered in France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, Spain and Portugal. It's for selling second-hand: a new item bought specifically to resell, from a wholesaler or a shop, can't be sold on Vinted, whether by a Pro seller or a private one.

Signing up for Vinted Pro: status, SIRET and profile
Only sole traders, non-profit organisations and businesses can sign up. When you register, Vinted asks for a SIRET number and information about your business to confirm its identity, then you accept the Vinted Pro terms.
Your profile then shows your business name and number, your contact details, your registration number and your registered address. Sole traders can choose to keep this information private.
No SIRET yet? As a French micro-entrepreneur (auto-entrepreneur), you apply for registration online, on the official business formalities portal. For a commercial activity such as buying and reselling, it's free. You must apply no later than 15 days after starting the activity, and you receive a certificate with your Siren number and your APE code.

Your obligations as a pro seller
On Vinted, according to the Vinted Pro guide:
- your buyers have 14 calendar days to withdraw, starting the day after delivery;
- if an item is returned, you don't refund the buyer yourself: Vinted pays the money back through its payment provider;
- the price shown in your listings includes all taxes, VAT included;
- for VAT, the threshold is calculated on all your revenue over the last 12 months, sales outside Vinted included;
- a credit note is only needed if an invoice was issued for the item sold.
With the French administration, as a micro-entrepreneur, according to service-public:
- you declare the revenue you received to URSSAF, every month by default or every 3 months on request, even when it's zero;
- for selling goods, social contributions are 12.3% of revenue, or 13.3% with the flat-rate income tax option (versement libératoire);
- an invoice is mandatory when a private buyer asks for one (service-public also lists other cases), and every invoice must be kept for 10 years.
Example: in March, you receive €1,200 from Vinted sales. You declare €1,200 for March, and your social contributions come to €147.60 at the 12.3% rate.

DAC7: what Vinted reports to the tax office
DAC7 is a reporting obligation set by the European Union for platforms like Vinted. It covers every seller who makes at least 30 sales or earns more than €2,000 in a calendar year. Vinted asks you to fill in a short pre-filled form, passes the information to the authorities the following year and sends you a copy.
Service-public describes the document the platform sends you: the number of transactions, the net amount received and the fees withheld. This information is also passed to the tax administration and pre-filled in your income tax return.

Your sales, purchases, invoices and URSSAF in one place with Bleam
Bleam, the most complete tool for Vinted sellers, works with personal accounts as well as Pro accounts. Once you're a pro, everything above is handled in one place, across all your accounts:
- the CRM tracks every sale from all your Vinted accounts, your purchases and the margin on each item, after its cost;
- invoices take a few clicks: tick your sales, then "Generate invoices". Numbering runs without gaps, and a sale cancelled after invoicing is cancelled with a credit note;
- the URSSAF summary calculates the revenue received to declare, by month or by quarter, minus credit notes;
- your personal account stays alongside the Pro one: mark it as "Personal account" in Bleam, and its sales are left out of the URSSAF summary.

Frequently asked questions
When do I need to switch to Vinted Pro?
As soon as you buy items to resell them, sell to earn a regular income, or have the legal status of a business or act on behalf of one. In those cases, Vinted asks you to sign up as a Pro seller. To sell your own belongings, a standard account is enough.
Does Vinted Pro cost anything?
No. According to Vinted, Vinted Pro is completely free, and you can list as many second-hand items as you want, as often as you want.
Do I need a SIRET number to sell as a pro on Vinted?
Yes, Vinted asks for one when you sign up for Vinted Pro in France. As a French micro-entrepreneur, you register online on the official business formalities portal, free of charge for a commercial activity, no later than 15 days after starting.
Can I keep my personal Vinted account when I open a Pro account?
Yes: the Pro account is a separate account, with a different email address and phone number. In Bleam, both are managed in one place, and an account marked "Personal account" is left out of the URSSAF summary.
Do 30 sales or €2,000 on Vinted make me a pro?
Not on their own. These are the DAC7 reporting thresholds: above them, Vinted reports your data to the tax office, and Vinted says this doesn't necessarily mean your sales are taxable. What matters is where the items come from: your own belongings, or items bought to be resold.
What are the obligations of a Vinted Pro seller?
On Vinted: give buyers 14 days to withdraw after delivery and show prices with all taxes included. As a French micro-entrepreneur: declare the revenue you received to URSSAF every month or every quarter, even when it's zero, and issue an invoice when a private buyer asks for one.
