Item not quite right: the assistant suggests your wardrobe
A “too small for me” is no longer a lost sale. The assistant invites the buyer to look at your wardrobe, instead of letting the conversation end there. With Bleam Nexus, it finds the right item itself and sends its link.
A no becomes a second chance to sell
The buyer finds the item too small, it's not their color, not the right style? Or they ask whether you have it in another size or another color? The assistant replies with a short invitation to look at your wardrobe.
The buyer: “It's too small for me, shame”
The assistant: “No worries! Feel free to have a look at my wardrobe, I've got other pieces 😊”
Only once per conversation, in the buyer's language, and never about the price.
How does it work?
What triggers it. A no about the size, color, style, brand, fit, material or condition of the item, or a request for the same item in another size or another color. A no about the price, or an “I'll think about it”, triggers nothing.
It replaces a silence, never a reply. The assistant only sends it where it would have said nothing. If it has a reply to give (your measurements, a question, one of your custom situations), that reply goes out.
When the buyer asks for another size or color, Bleam also lets you know, as when the assistant hands a conversation back to you: you can add to its reply.
Language. Bleam's line is sent in the buyer's language. Yours is sent as written, without translation: a buyer who writes in another language than your replies' gets Bleam's line, in their language.
With Bleam Nexus, the assistant finds the right item itself
With Nexus, the assistant goes beyond the invitation. It looks through your wardrobes for an item of the same brand and the same type, in the size or color asked for, and sends it with its link and a short line on what differs.
The buyer: “Do you have it in blue?”
The assistant: “No worries! I also have this jumper by Ralph Lauren in L if you like 😊 It's in blue.”, followed by the item's link.
All the buyer has to do is open the link.
How does it work?
Only for size or color. The assistant looks for an item when the buyer finds this one too small or too big, doesn't like its color, or asks for another size or another color. For any other reason (style, brand, fit, material, condition), it sends the invitation.
Never a random item. Same brand and same type as the item that wasn't right, or nothing is suggested. Bleam checks every word of the short line: at the slightest doubt, it replaces it with a ready-made line (for example “It's in blue.”).
Nothing found? The assistant sends the invitation to your wardrobe, if it's on. Otherwise, it says nothing.
An up-to-date wardrobe. The assistant only looks in a wardrobe that Bleam has read in the last 24 hours.
Where to find the section
In the menu, Automation group (unless you renamed it), open Automatic replies. If you have several Vinted accounts, first pick the account to set up: each account has its own settings.
On the Settings tab, scroll down to the Item not quite right section (“Not right” in the page outline). The ? next to its title opens this guide.
The invitation to your wardrobe
Invite them to your wardrobe: the invitation's switch. On, the assistant sends it; Off, it doesn't.
Message inviting them to look at your wardrobe: the line that's sent. It's prefilled with Bleam's, and you can rewrite it. Once edited, it's sent as written (“Your text is sent as written, without translation.”); Use Bleam's line brings Bleam's back.
Every change saves on its own. The Preview shows what the buyer will read (View preview on a phone).
Suggest the right item, with Bleam Nexus
Suggest the right item: the search's switch. Off, everything below disappears, and only the invitation remains.
Where the assistant looks, in order: it only moves on to the next step (“Otherwise”) when it found nothing.
1. Your wardrobe, always searched. If it finds the item, it sends its link.
2. Your other wardrobes: your other Vinted accounts linked to Bleam. The link goes to that account's Vinted site.
3. Your Stock: your items already received, not listed yet. The assistant sends their photo. This step shows when it's available.
Steps 2 and 3 have their own switch. Each step has its Message, which you can edit: See example shows it in the preview (on a computer), Use Bleam's message brings it back.
Suggest up to: 1, 2 or 3 items (2 by default). The assistant never sends more.
How does it work?
Variables. In the step messages, {type} becomes the item type (jumper, jeans), {marque} its brand, {taille} its size, {écart} the short line on what differs from the request, {lien} the item's link.
{lien} is required in the Your wardrobe and Your other wardrobes messages: it takes the buyer to the item. It's not allowed in the Your Stock message, whose photo is sent with it.
A rejected message isn't sent. The field says why (empty, too long, curly braces or unknown variable); until it's fixed, the assistant keeps the message saved before. A step message is 500 characters at most, the invitation line 300, without curly braces.
Your other wardrobes don't include your purchase accounts.
Without Bleam Nexus, the Suggest the right item row stays locked, with the Nexus badge.
When the assistant says nothing
The assistant stays silent, and leaves the conversation to you, when:
- the no is about the price;
- a negotiation is under way;
- the item is sold, or an offer was accepted;
- you already replied yourself;
- your wardrobe has fewer than 5 other listings online.
And it only invites once per conversation: if the invitation or an item link has already been sent, it doesn't insist.
How does it work?
Other cases. The conversation is about a bundle. The assistant's replies are off for this account (Reply to messages). The buyer says no but adds they're still interested (“yes, I like it but the fit looks loose”). The conversation has 50 messages or more. Bleam hasn't read your wardrobe for more than 7 days.
A negotiation under way means your counter-offer right before the buyer's message, or their offer still unanswered: their “no” is then about the price.
“You already replied” means a message you wrote in the conversation, on Vinted (app or website) or in Bleam's Messages. The favorite message doesn't count.
